Plan Three is a post-grunge band formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1999 by singer Jacob Lovén, guitarists Tommie Hammar and Mathias Garneij, drummer Andreas Malm and bassist Mattias Willis. After some years, the bands long-time producer and songwriter David Clewett was recruited to the band's official personnel as synth player and background vocalist. They are influenced by the American alternative rock/post-grunge scene as well as electronic and classical music, the combination of which gives the band their unique sound. In mid-2006, Mattias left the band after they had decided to alter their sound from pop inspired 90's rock to a harder type of rock. Bandit Rock radio host Peter Kjellin replaced Mattias as bassist. During autumn of 2007, after releasing their debut single Achilles heel on label Dogmatic, Plan Three supported Takida on their tour. Over the years they have also shared stages with bands such as 3 Doors Down, 30 Seconds to Mars, Paramore, HIM and The Sounds. In early 2008, drummer Andreas decided to leave the band to pursue different paths in life. A message was published on their Myspace page, looking for a new drummer. Roughly a month later it was made clear that a new drummer had been found - Andreas Henriksson. In 2010, he left the band, and was replaced with Kristoffer Folin. In August 2008, a single called Triggers was released. At the same time the band announced an upcoming album. In June 2007 yet another single was released, Still Broken. Their début album, titled Screaming our sins was released in November 2009. Late 2011 saw the release of the first of an upcoming trilogy of EPs, The Signal - Part One. www.planthreeband.com Read more on Last.fm.
