Peter Escott

Peter Escott is a songwriter, singer and pianist based in Hobart, Tasmania. Living in Edinburgh, Scotland for much of 2007 - a relocation that inspired much of 2008's debut album "Slowcoach" released on the Russian Glowcaps record label - Escott honed his darkly intimate signature style. Inspired by Scott Walker, Tindersticks and the bombast of Nick Cave, "Slowcoach" still features little instrumentation besides his piano and voice, has received much local radio play and found fans in the UK and around Australia. Escott is also half of the band Native Cats with ex-Bad Luck Charm and Frustration Julian Teakle. Read more on Last.fm.
