Pep Squad was a great little poppy rock group from the northwest that made a significant splash in the Christian indie rock scene in the mid-90's. Their 'Yreka Bakery' album was declared by Spin Magazine as 'one of the 10 best records you've never heard'. They released three records as Pep Squad (Pep Squad, No Doy!, Yreka Bakery), while several members recorded an LP for Tooth and Nail as 'The Company', a Christian disco-throwback album. They then disbanded to pursue other endeavors. Bryan Everett formed The Denominators with his wife and they released an LP of keyboard-tinged, slightly shoegazer, rock. Kim went back to teaching elementary school. Bradley worked for a accounting firm (if memory serves me), and also formed Lowenbad (formerly Gospel Balls, Trepan) Currently, the band is still performing in the Pacific northwest area. Bradley Swanson has stated that an official recording will be released in 2007. Evan became a member of Swords (formerly Swords Project) and had some success. Swords opened for Stephen Malkmus (Pavement) and released several recordings. They disbanded in 2006. A posthumous 'odds and ends' collection entitled "Fact or Fiction : 1995-2000'" was compiled by Tooth and Nail, but was never commercially released.
