Pece aka Piotr Cieslik is a respected music producer living in Cracow, Poland. Piotr started taking piano lessons at the age of 11 and from early childhood was exposed to the classics of 80s pop and electronic music by his father. In 1996 he discovered trackers and learned the sampling process on Commodore Amiga 500 computer. It was the time when he started to compose his own music. Since high school he has been participating in many projects as a producer. He spent most of his underground career making hip-hop beats for MC’s and became very well known in Cracow hip-hop industry. He collaborated with many groups and even produced two compilation albums with his own beats and guests appearances of friendly rappers. Pece experimented with production in a range of styles and came through many musical phases. Around 2000 he focused on drum & bass style. Since then his musical flavour and skills have been crystalising. He released his first D’n'B EP titled “Identity” in 2005 and it gained great acclaim. In 2007 Pece’s “Riddle of the Universe” EP was released by the netlabel Kahvi. Kahvi wrote: “Pece is an inspiring electro/blues/ambient/electronic style combination, and for probably the second time in kollective history, I`m breaking my own made rule to not release tracks with vocals with the superb, professional quality vocals by Zuska Gruner in `missing`. The ep consists of three tracks of sublime works – quirks, ambience, chilled and with some nice production. This may not be everybodies cup of tea but I think its a worthy addition to the kollective.” Now Piotr produces music maintained in styles like chill-out/synth pop/electro. He is attracted by live instruments, synthesizers and warm, analogue sound which meets crisp modern digital sound. Melody and harmony are the most important factors of his music.
