Paul Siegel

Paul Siegel was born and raised in the lower Hudson River Valley, where urban and rural influences collide. He has been writing songs since the age of twelve. His style uniquely fuses a sublime rhythmic approach with the beauty of precise melodic statement. His voice ranges from a quiet intimacy to an enthusiastic growl evoking blues, folk and funk vocals. Siegel first came into the spotlight writing music and singing lead vocals and guitar for "Dogtalk;" an infectious groove funk-rock band that built a grass roots following in Syracuse, New York. Eventually moving to San Francisco, the band made the circuit of infamous Road Houses playing along side bands such as the Beatnigs and Primus. He's back in New York now where he's taking his songwriting to the next level. Read more on Last.fm.
