There are at least two artists using the name PAF: 1. Estonian musician Paavo Eensalu - PAF is a newcomer on Kohvirecords with his debut 12" EP "Only our cars". Paf comes from a small town of Võru, which lies half-way between Latvian and Russian borders in southern Estonia. The region is populated by a unique ethnic group Võru people who are characterized by straightforwardness, faithfulness and lively temper which have also helped them to maintain their ancient village life traditions and customs. Similar close-to-earth attitude has carried over to PAF's music which can be described as sincere, affectionate and positive. Eensalus' carieer as a musician started in a group called Quite in 1995, followed by successful work as a keyboard player and producer of group Borax (title adopted from the name of a toxin designed to exterminate insects - Kohvirecord's remark). Throughout his musical journey, PAF has drawn inspiration from the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Jean Michel Jarre, Sven Grünberg, Pink Floyd and A-Ha. Nevertheless, at the present moment he considers Võru people's shaman songs and the beat of wooden drums as his primary source of inspiration. 2. PAF was croatian noise rock trio formed in 2000. only relase: http://www.discogs.com/Paf-Promo-Rehearsal-Tape/release/3206323 Read more on Last.fm.
