Christian Lejon , known as the music producer 'Onova' and 'Substorm', started making music at the age of 16, after listening to club music at an early age. The idea of starting producing his own tracks, came when he and a friend came over a software called ReBirth. Due to Christian’s big taste for the early type of "Acid" music, this was the perfect tool for him to get things rolling. After making a number of tracks, his friend and he started practise on their dj skills on the local cafe, which held dj lessons for youngsters. One day Christian thought he would bring his own material to test out the crowd, and with a good feedback from the owners and the crowd, they started playing their music all around small clubs in the suburban of Stockholm. But after about 6 months, the friend and him got in to some disagreements, which led to that they broke their relationship. After this Christian put music producing on hold, and he didn’t produce anything for a couple of years. At the age of 18, the journey took of again when another friend and he sat down and listened to an old trance record. They started discussing music producing and his friend heard about a new software from the same developers as ReBirth. This new software was to be revolutionary for music creation, and as many of you producer know about, was Reason from Proppellerheads. Christian grabbed a copy and made him evolve his producing skills, and making a number of tracks, which never hit the market, but was highly appriciated among his friends. This was the drive for Christian to continue producing music. The year of 2005 was to be remembered by Christian, when he one day had just finished a track and thought that he would try to promote his latest work on the internet in various forums. After a couple of days, Christian got contacted by a record company called Moonrising-records, and offered him a digital release on that track 'Substorm - Arashi'. This was to be the mile pole for Christian in his music career. After a couple of months, Christian participated in a remix contest, held by the music community Trance.nu and record label Lunatique-records. The track that was o be remixed, was 'Dj Eco - Paradise Now', and Christian was gladly surprised when he got the news that he had won it all, and was to be released on both vinyl and digital from Lunatique-records. Today Christian also has tracks signed by Australian record label Trancetribe -records. Read more on Last.fm.
