Olga Rajecka, born on January 7th 1962, is a popular singer, and an active person of various musical events in Latvia. Olga began her singing career in early childhood, and become famous in 1980, when she joined “Eolika” (which gained phenomenal success in former USSR). In the same year she got a diploma of a manager of culture events. In 1986, Olga joined a band “Turaidas Roze”, then “Jumis”, but in 1990 she joins a musical project “Dāmu Pops”, to sing together with other three famous latvian female singers – Ieva Akurātere, Maija Lūsēna and Edīte Baušķeniece. Project is successful and with a song “Varbūt Rīt” (Maybe Tomorrow) quartet wins “Mikrofons” 1990 (annual song contest), and song becomes a hit in Latvia. When Edīte quits in 1991, “Dāmu Pops” performs a song “Tu Esi” (by Jānis Lūsēns), in trio, and this is their last song. Olga Rajecka joins another musical project - “Tango”, followed by working together with Aigars Grāvers, and creating a musical group “Bāze 7”. Since 1995, she’s organizing “Olgas disenītes” – musical shows, with latvian new talents of singing and dancing. In year 2000, former members of musical project “Dāmu Pops” comes together one more time - to participate in “Aldaris” musical tour, and in sound studio “Elco” re-record their hit song “Varbūt Rīt”, together with some other classical latvian rock hits from bands “Zodiaks”, “Bāze 7”, and “Dzeltenie Pastnieki”, where ladies over years have been participating. In april 2002, Olga Rajecka released her solo album “Vakar.Šodien.Rīt” (Yesterday.Today.Tomorrow). Read more on Last.fm.
