This summer, okay paddy will release their third disc Where You Went?, co-produced and mixed by Nick Krill [The Spinto Band]. This five song EP is the best reflection yet of okay paddy's raw live personality. Recorded over two weekends at their home studio, the tunes have an american sound, combining Everly Brothers style harmony and lyrical imagery with a visceral in the room rock and roll. okay paddy is a band that has been developing for nearly ten years. Alternately changing its personnel and its place, the band's hallmarks have been strong melodies and the right harmonies all mixed up into energetic rock music. Cousins Pat Finnerty [vocals/bass] and Mike Quinn [vocals/guitar] started writing songs together as teenagers in Scranton, Pennsylvania. During college, the two established themselves in Philadelphia. Now joined by John Parise [lead guitar] and Brian Craig [drums], okay paddy has been touted by Doug Wallen [Philadelphia Weekly] as being among Philadelphia's up-and-coming "cream of the crop." The group has shared the stage with acts such as The Spinto Band, The Teeth, We Are Scientists and Lewis & Clarke. Working with the Scranton-based label Prison Jazz Records, okay paddy has released one EP and one LP. Both of these self-produced recordings have been well recieved, meriting comparisons to Pavement, The Shins and Guided by Voices. Ex-members of the Swims, Roger That Houston, and slews of others. www.okaypaddy.com Read more on Last.fm.
