New York Crasnals

New York Crasnals: created in 2004 in Krakow (Poland) as a project of three musicians of Idioten Camera: Jacek Smolicki (guitar/vocals), Marcin Bialota (bass/vocals), Michal Smolicki (drums). It became a fascinating space for an unlimited experimentation with music treated as a space of sound and tone. You can find many influences of new wave, post-rock, new jazz joined with delicate improvisations, psychedelic timbres and noisy and unexpected and emotional expressions. During the first year of activity NYC recorded first well accepted home-made demo (Uwaga! Roboty na wysokosci). The year of 2005 was the time when NYC started to play concerts and working with new material. In January 2006 NewYorkCrasnals released second demo record: "Moralless Parables"... Selected songs were released by indie label EveryColor Production, on our first official EP "Crack Of City" in September 2006. December of 2007 brought the first overground LP of the NYC, "Faces and Noises We Can Make" (8 tracks) published by Kuka Records. On June 12 2010 the band released their second full album "Women In Love, Men In Uniforms" containing 11 songs and overall 49:15 minutes of music. This LP was as well recorded for Kuka Records and features sublime sheet and insert design by vocalist/guitaris Jacek Smolicki. But the most important is live playing (we played among others with groups Sometree, Seidenmatt, Columbus Duo, Plum...) The music is continous but mutable sensation for us. The most important for us is a progress. The aim does not exist www.myspace.com/newyorkcrasnals nycrasnals.po.gs Read more on Last.fm.
