(Andrew Williams) AKA Nam was born in Cheapside Manchester Jamaica, and raised by his Mother and attended Christiana Comprehensive School. Nam is the second child of three from his mother. At school Nam and fiends turn the desk into drum when ever they get the chance. When Nam was 14 years old he, started singing but only took music seriously at the age of 17. This was after winning the Western Union Dee Jay Contest in Christiana Manchester Jamaica. Nam was signed to Species Shang record label, managed by Hon Olivia and Dillon specialist along with reggae artists such as Shabba Ranks, Patra, and Mad Cobra. In early 2000, Nam collaborated with Mad Cobra the Jamaica platinum selling artist, they worked on the single (Plenty Hot Chicks).Nam has also worked with (Tuff Gong Studios) which is currently run by the late Bob Marley family. At (Tuff Gong Studios), Nam worked with Clive Hunt of Ugly Man Productions one of Jamaicans leading producer at the time. This released one of Nam first song in Germany and France in 1996. Nam has worked with Tommy from Sly and Robbie Taxi Gang. In England Nam has won second place on the UK TV channel U (music video ) competition with song and video titled (Golden Pen ). Nam other single titled (What’s Your Name Girl) received plenty of radio play on UK leading radio station Choice FM. Now in Jamaica, Nam also has his song called (Backka Yard) that’s currently being played on IRIE FM Radio station. Now residing in the USA Nam is currently signed with Michael “Wagon” Jones the president of Wagon Music Works record label and Bernice “MO” Carter is his artist manager. In 2008 Nam released his first USA album called (Excuse Me Let Me Touch Down).Nam is currently working on his single called (Wind It UP Girl) which will be release in late June or July 2009. Nam goal is to build a solid reggae career that reaches the global market. By giving the people (especially the ladies) music they can call classic reggae and remember for years to come. Nam writes about his experiences as a child and the ladies in his life which call outs in his songs. Nam has the creativity to work with the most greatest and famous reggae artists, R/B entertainer’s in the near future.
