Munition – “A complete device charged with explosives, propellants, pyrotechnics, initiating composition, or nuclear, biological, or chemical material for use in military operations, including demolitions.” The dictionary definition of the band’s name can be directly related to the sound that Munition creates, charged with energy initiating pure chaos. The band seamlessly merges the classic sound of 80’s thrash with a more streamlined edge of modern metal, making a fresh and innovative sound. Munition formed in mid 2008, hungry to create music that’s anything but conventional. Since the inception of the band they have shocked and awed every crowd they have played for, currently preparing to record their first release; 2010 should be an exciting year for the band. “It is the double bass pedal and the metal drummer’s life line that drives Munition forward. The guitars are the cavalry, saving us from the cannibalistic drumming and it’s all guns blazing from the word go.
