Molly Lewis

Molly Lewis, also known as sweetafton23, is a ukulele player who is currently a student at the University of Saltine Cracker. A short video was posted in March of 2007 which featured the start of Molly performing Tom Cruise Crazy by Jonathan Coulton. Eventually, this video found its way to Jonathan Coulton himself, and he expressed a desire to see a full version. Shortly after, Molly posted a full cover of the song on her Youtube account. From that point, Molly continued doing various covers for some time before writing two original songs; MyHope in February 2008 and Road Trip in March 2008. She has performed these songs in front of various crowds, most notably performing alongside Coulton on three occasions and a Nerdfighter's something or other thing with John Green and Hank Green. In February 2009, Molly entered the third installment of the Masters of Song Fu competition. She won the first round by a wide margin with her third original song, titled I Pity The (Song) Fu, going on to win the competition outright with her song Our American Cousin. Molly composed a total of four songs for the competition. Along with the previous two, Peep Fight and It All Makes Sense At The End were also Song Fu songs. Molly is also a regular performer at w00tstock. Perhaps most notably of these performances is now referred to as Mollystock. The venue for w00tstock 2.4 in San Diego served alcohol, and due to the fact that Molly was below 21 at the time she would only be allowed in the building for the duration of her set. In response, Molly performed a second time in the parking lot during intermission. Over 200 members of the audience went out to watch. Read more on Last.fm.
