Mipso Trio

Mipso Trio is made up of three UNC students who assembled in the fall of 2010 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Wood Robinson kayaks, climbs, and dabbles in the double bass. Jacob Sharp is a connoisseur of wine, laughs frequently, and fools around on the mandolin. Joseph Terrell grows habanero peppers, reminisces about simpler times, and plays a mean guitar. Together they bring soul to folk, rock’n’roll to bluegrass, and something funky to Americana. Together they seek to blend and meld the rich acoustic traditions of the Appalachians. While the result is rarely traditional, it’s sometimes surprising, and occasionally it can be downright irreverent. Together they are just a few friends who make music. Together they are Mipso Trio.
