There are two bands associated with the name Milhouse. 1. Milhouse were an Australian melodic punk/pop-punk band from Sydney, New South Wales. The band was comprised of vocalist/guitarist Tom Elder (formerly of Animal Shapes and Lights Out), bassist/vocalist Dave Drayton (also of zzzounds and Pinch Hitter; formerly of Euripides Berserker and Between the Devil and the Deep) and drummer Chris Costin (also formerly of Lights Out). They were known for their unique lyrics, catchy hooks and their positive - or "posi" - attitude. Forming in 2011, the band put out three releases in their time: two EPs - Everything's Coming Up... (2011) and Thrillhouse (2012) and a split seven-inch with Brisbane band Headaches entitled Subwoofer (also 2012). The band constantly toured and gigged in support of these releases, performing with artists as varied as The Smith Street Band, Pour Habit, I Exist, Lagwagon, Luca Brasi and Jamie Hay. The band announced that they would be going on hiatus in 2013 following Costin's marriage and Elder's plans to take an extended break from playing music. In March, the band played a final national run of shows in Melbourne, Wollongong, Sydney and Brisbane. Their final two shows were at the Annandale Hotel in Sydney and the Corner Hotel in Melbourne, both opening for The Smith Street Band, in September 2013. 2.
