Meade Skelton

In an era of serious singer-songwriters with overly pretentious lyrics, Meade Skelton keeps it simple and sincere. But thats not to say his music is frivolous. Meade is a singer's singer. He has a unique voice you recognize right away, like Sinatra or Elvis. Born April 8th, 1979, in Virginia, he grew up playing the piano and singing by age 3. He performed at school plays and talent shows. He wrote songs and sang them all around the region. In 1998, he moved to his late mother's hometown of Richmond. A few years later he began playing with various bands around town and joined the floating folk festival, and other groups of singers and songwriters. He sang with the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Meade has now become a well known figure in the music scene in Virginia, and continues to spread his mix of folk, country, gospel, and quirky yet sincere lyrics and powerful voice.
