Melodic vocals, squelching basslines, funky synths and taut guitar licks. Welcomes you to the future sounds of Maxfield. 1) Maxfield was formed in 2005 after singer/songwriter and co-producer Valerie Maxfield began her dream to going it alone. While constantly touring, she wrote all her ideas and on her journey made contact with Joules Chown, Keyboardist/Producer/Engineer, whose worked for artistes signed to Sony/Emi, along with Marky Mark bass and rythym guitarist whose worked with most of the top ten french artistes and had the honour of playing with Ray Charles in the latter years, collaborating to form MAXFIELD's brand of music. A musical journey of eclectic magic. So many influences to mention, but it infuses Rock with soul, electronica, triphop, funk, reggae, indie, hip hop and folk. Creating its own style. 'It's been a long time coming' Valerie says, 'With so much emotion, disappointments and joy all embroiled into one. All we can hope that our story gets told.' MAXFIELD finally debuted 7th April with band members Adam Mackie, Jonny Aves and Tom Crofts. Riding on the back of radio success with the single 'Stucklike' - 2007 saw Maxfield share the stage with The Guillemots, The Magic Numbers, Jackson Scott, Natalie Imbruglia, Piney Girs, Lucie Silvas, Soho Dolls, Lefthand, Tim Arnold, Nuala, and Air Traffic. As one reviewer said: "This band has a touch of Nirvanaesque going on, sprinkled with Lenny Kravitz meet Red Hot Chilli Peppers and oozing Asian Dub Foundation and The Specials, but with a female attitude, IT ROCKS" **** Maxfield are currently putting the finishing touches to their eagerly awaited debut album which is due to crash land in your stereo mid-2008.
