Maury Yeston

Maury Yeston is a American composer and lyricist educated at Yale and Clare College, Cambridge. He was a member of the Yale faculty for eight years, where he was Director of Undergraduate Studies in Music. He is best known for his Broadway stage musicals, which include: Nine (1982, revived 2003, film 2009), Grand Hotel (1989), Titanic (1997). He is the winner of the Tony Award for Best Original Score in 1982 (Nine), and 1997 (Titanic) and was nominee for the Tony Award for Best Original Score in 1990 (Grand Hotel) and nominee for the Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Music and Outstanding Lyrics in 1990 (Grand Hotel).
