The talented and very young Massimo Di Lena was born in Naples in 1988. He listens to all kind of music since he was a child, from Michael Jackson to Tupac, Oasis, Madonna. At the age of 12 he prematurely starts listening to electronic music and Plastikman’s productions (Richie Hawtin). At the age of 14 he decides to buy 2 cdj and a mixer to better interact with music and he starts playing hip-hop music accordingly with the trend of the time, even though the passion for this kind of music ends quickly whereas his interest for the techno increases. He decides then to buy two turntables and to invest his money in “vinyls” struggling to get a spot at friends’ parties or little events. At the age of 16, thanks also to his innate good musical ear, he starts using the programs for musical compositions and he is immediately willing to create new and different sounds. Massi DL, as he is known by today, has been mistakenly contacted by Multivitamins’ label in a chat and, as in the best novels, that was his opportunity to propose his tracks to the label Managers. The English label, positively impressed, has released 2 of his tracks, multivitamins 04 and 05. Today, this tiny Neapolitan talent, has signed with other labels like safari electronique, leftroom, frankie rec. and he is going to surprise u with some more fresh stuff in the future..stay tuned!
