Originally born in Jamaica and raised in the Caribbean, Mars Complex (Jason Mars) came to the US as a small child. At the age of 15 he started writing music, using pen, staff paper and a keyboard. His early meticulous compositions were arranged for orchestral instruments. It was not long until Mars Complex discovered electronic music and studio producing. Now his productions are unstoppable. Using an assortment of high tech tools, Mars Complex is taking the scene by storm. Mars Complex under the name "Red Planet" took Pittsburgh by storm spinning, producing, and performing his own fresh sytle of intelligent Breakbeats and Drum and Bass. Mars Complex threw, and performed at many events all throughout Pittsburgh, building a following. Now pursuing his PhD in Computer Science he has migrated to the town of Charlottesville, Virginia. While there his Art has evolved into his fresh signature flavor of Breakbeats, House and Drum and Bass. Now he incorporates the complexities of his intelligent melodies with funk and dancefloor pounding influences from the nu skool.
