There are at least three bands called LYS: 1) LYS is Lithuanian capital-based ambient/drone project. Project's music gets into depths of a strange static-movement of the sound, earlier used to be more IDM/electronic/experimental orientated. Now it spreads through different horizons, involving listeners to sink (or penetrate)through ambientic slumber atmosphere. There were some handmade CDr's and internet releases, but now LYS is preparing to release a debut full-length album. Naunuee. The Naunuee debut internet album of Lys consists of two parts: IDM and ambient. They are connected by a music video of Naunuee which was created by Gean (D117). This video is a follow-up of two deep performances at Paskesk Sutemose and Centras3. It has been shown and well acclaimed at the Independent Vilnius Short Film & Video Festival. 2) LYS is Frederic Chaplain, Prikosnovenie's manager. He blends in his music all the Prikosnovenie's influences. Mixing dreamy oriental samples with shamanic voices and poetry, LYS carries us in a smooth and relaxing voyage through sounds of Nature, ambience and ethnica. You will find in his music beautiful ethno-trip-hop jewels and incredible collaborations. He has collaborated with several artist, including Liz Van Dort (Faraway), Cecile Rabhi (Anassane), and Mihaela Repina (PinknRuby). LYS has a new single out in 2008 called satya. http://www.prikosnovenie.com/groupes/lysk.html 3) Lys is a Black Metal band from various locations in the US, made up of Thor of Kelkum And Vyhladit.
