Lust Control

Lust control formed as a joke to put out a tape in the underground to see what would happen. The original lineup was… douglas gene van pelt - vocals paul stanley q-pek - guitar phillip george owens - drums maury duane millican - bass the band originaly wanted to call themselves, talking ass. This name was taken from the biblical scripture, numbers 22:28. After a concerned church deacon, spoke with them, they decided on the name lust control. They had already rehearsed as a band, and written many songs. One of these songs, was the song, titled mad at the girls. Lust control, was taken from a line in the song, where doug sings, i want to control my lust. They recorded 2 demo tapes. This is a condom nation, and dancing naked. The band with this lineup, performed one show at conrnerstone 1989. The second lineup started after one bad pig was signed from refuge / pure metal over to myrrh records. The second lineup consited of… douglas gene van pelt - vocals, john butch wilson - bass, mitch bradford roberts - guitar, dan matt poole - drums, doug felt like it should go on and that it was something god wanted him to do so he got together with a metalhead from his church, john “butch” wilson on bass and drummer dan “matt” poole on drums. We rehearsed like this for a few months before recruiting jazz musician mitch “bradford” roberts on guitar. Read more on Last.fm.
