There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Longhouse was a band from New York, USA, formed in 1985, led by Lisa Herman, whose sound is characterized by extensive vocal harmonies provided by as many as six backup singers. They released a self-titled album in 1988. 2) Longhouse is a collaborative effort of James Creasey and Brandon Friesen from Canada. The duo invites the listeners to experience the culture of the First Nations through a mix that consists of contemporary and traditional Native American music.
