I grew up in a small border town where everyone knows everyone and where racing ducks is the annual celebration - good ol' Deming, New Mexico. My dad, believing in child labor and all, had my brother and I work in the chili fields, (yes, chili fields) when we were young...thus started the singing. We would sing every Disney song we knew and threw in a little "Evie" now and then (if you don't know who "Evie" is, you should definitely find out). Always loving music and the arts, I started writing little melodies here and there - all of which my mother thought were brilliant...thanks mom. But my family was pretty sports-crazed, so music took a back-seat until I finally decided to abandon my less than amazing athletic skills my senior year in high school. I lost my strange Hispanic accent (the effects of living by Mexico), and, thanks to "Mama Betty," learned to play chords on the piano. It all kind of evolved from there...I now live in Denver, CO with my amazing husband, Michael, of seven years..and what a good seven years it has been. We travel and do music together with four other super-cool and talented guys. I love writing music and I strive to write what is honest and meaningful, so I hope you find meaning in it. .
