Hailing from Rochester, NY, LastPageFirst has gone from playing skate parks and youth events, when they started out 5 years ago, to opening up for the likes of Juliana Theory and Bleach. While over the years the band has grown and established their signature sound, one thing is clear: making music is more than a job, it’s their passion. “Our goal is to build relationships with people”, says lead singer and guitarist Jeremy Call, who makes it a point to connect with their audience on a personal level. It’s not unusual to see them hanging out after a show to chat with fans or just dropping in on their online message board to say hello. “I want to show people that I’m just like them,” adds Call. “I’ve had problems, relationships that have failed and ones that have been amazing – but there’s one thing that’s been constant in my life and that’s God.” LPF’s commitment to fans and their solid live show have made them a hit in their hometown area of Western New York. With crowd interaction that’s second to none, tightly choreographed moves, and an energy that explodes on stage, LPF promises a power packed performance at every venue. “People come to hear good music,” Calls explains, “but we go a step further and give them an awesome show.” While preparing for their first US tour with the “Extreme Tour” last summer, LPF caught the attention of Sam Conjerti Jr., and Gary Bowen of Hitzmaker Management. The management team recognized the talent in LPF and had heard some of their older material which was recorded at Dark Horse recording studios in Nashville with Sam Barnhart of the band Bleach. From that day, plans to begin writing their debut album were starting to materialize. After taking several months to work on their album, Hitzmaker contacted the multi-platinum production team Underground Productions. Underground, which is comprised of Dow Brain and Brad Young (LFO, Plus One, Joey McIntyre), was anxious to jump on board after hearing the first new song “Some Sweet Story” that was written by the band and recorded with Robbie Takuc of the Goo Goo Dolls at his studio Chameleonwest Recording in Buffalo, NY. Also, jumping on board to the project to lend a hand with songwriting was Michele Vice-Maslin (Nick Carter, Plus One, Eden’s Crush), and the songwriting/production team of Sheppard Goodman and Kenny Gioia (Lee Ann Womack, Mandy Moore, LFO, Willa Ford, Hall & Oates). LastPageFirst is definitely a band to watch in 2005. With their passion for touring, their amazing hooks and melodies, and an album and live show that is nothing short of stellar, LPF will soon have arenas full of young girls chanting their name.
