Lakmé was a DIY emo/hardcore/punk band from Prague, Czech republic existing between 2006 and 2009. They were heavily influenced by old french and american "political emo" bands around Stonehenge or Ebullition records. Lyrics are really personal but dealing with all the shit around (social exclusion, norms, sexuality...). They sticked strictly to the DIY punk ethics so from time to time you can meet people with their homemade screenprinted t-shirts, patches, wallets etc. Lakmé released few records: -Demo (4 songs, 2006, recorded in a rehearsal room, self-released, later released by Randall records in Slovakia) -S/T 7" (4 songs, 2007, released by a big cooperation of labels) -S/T CD (7 songs, 2007, released by Heart on Fire Records, Belgium) -Viva la vie nr. 4 compilation (1 song, 2007, Heart on Fire Records) -S/T 12" (6 songs, 2008, released by a cooperation of labels) -split 7" w/ Bokanovsky from France (1 song, 2010, big cooperation of labels) -Discography CD (23 songs, 2010, released by EmoSyndicate in Russia) -Anthology CD-r (23 songs, 2011, released by PureHeart records in Czech republic) Lakmé is dead now. 3 of 4 members were in Dakhma, singer and guitarist are in Remek and Marnost, guitarist is in Gattaca and the drummer in Kung-Fu Girlz.
