Simone Kromer aka Lady Tom is an absolute all-round talent: she is one of Switzerland’s hottest DJs and has become a household name in the international DJ-ing scene. As a successful music performer, she has released several hit singles, albums and compilations. She has also modelled for major companies such as Nestlé or Ford and she accompanied DJ Bobo on his World in Motion Tour as a dancer. The life of 29-year-old Lady Tom sounds like a dream come true. Ever since her 16th birthday the Swiss national from Lenzburg has been in the fast lane. Her career started 13 years ago at a private party when she spontaneously took to the decks and started mixing. The success of this party marked the start to a shining career as a DJane. With relentless energy Lady Tom has been living her passion ever since, DJ-ing and mixing hardstyle, for example in Oxa in Zurich, in Mad in Lausanne, in Tecktonik in Paris or in Club Matrixx in Nijmengen NL. Lady Tom has also been a mainstay at the Streetparade or Energy since 1999. The fact that the successful Lenzburger girl not only appears behind the record players, but also in front of the camera, was not missed by various modelling agencies. Lady Tom modelled for Opel, Ford, L'Oréal, Nestlé and Schwarzkopf campaigns. Jump into the Media Control Charts with “It’s a Dream” Although successful as a high-flyer in the DJane scene from day one, she first graduated from business school, before she entered the music business as a music performer in 1998. Together with her two international hit producers Thorsten Kaiser and Stefan Heinemann she recorded her first single "It's a Dream", a trance-loaded track to dream to, dance to and enjoy which made all the DJ charts and even the German Media Control Charts. The video to go with it was also a dream. It was shot on various Swiss backdrops and represents one of the most sophisticated video clips ever to be produced for a dance production. Club hymn in a league of its own at Mayday and the Love Parade In 2000 Lady Tom adapted the club classic “Loops and Tings” by Project Humate with the successful producer Marc van Linden. The product was a club hymn in a league of its own. The new version by Lady Tom had such an effect on the producers of the original 1992 version, Jens Mahlstedt and Gerrit Frerichs (Humate), that they made a remix for their own track themselves. In the middle of April, in time for Mayday, the track was published on the internet and played by Lady Tom herself. The next thing was to participate in the Berlin Love Parade. International success Two years later her debut album “Wild Child“ followed, a double CD with a CD-ROM part and the videos by Lady Tom which she had also produced in cooperation with Marc van Linden. With the maxi single "House of House" including "Loops & Tings 2000" came international success. Cooperation with Warner Music Switzerland In June 2001 the creative Swiss DJane was signed for her CD productions by the country’s biggest production and sales company, Warner Music Switzerland. This step was topped off with the launch of a mix compilation called "Summer revolution". With a lot of sensitivity and care, Lady Tom mixed the favourite tracks from the clubs on it. With the "Starway" maxi single, a story about mobility, and the “Sound of Mystery“ compilation, Lady Tom continued her success story. In spring 2002 her first Viva Club Rotation Vol. 1 was released, where Lady Tom mixed and compiled the coolest and most popular songs of the successful show Club Rotation. From the greatest hit “Into my Mind” to her own music label Acova Recordings From 2003 Lady Tom also cooperated with the German label Deepmission. This cooperation culminated in 2004 with her greatest hit to date “Into my Mind“ with which she was top of the charts from week one. It is this same period when her first “Hardstyle Queen mix compilation” was released. Due to the huge success of this compilation, she released the follow-up CD “Hardstyle Queen II“ the following year. On this CD you can also find various tracks by Lady Tom which were produced in her own sound studio. Since 1999 Lady Tom has also been producing herself and opened her own production studio in Lenzburg in her most successful year so far. In it the successful Swiss DJane has also specialised in song recordings. Her projects include “Pünktchen und Anton“ and “Stars“ for instance. One year later, in 2005, Lady Tom established her own record label in Acova Recordings. On this label she released Hardstyle Queen 3 and Vinyl Dark Europe/hardest Show in the same year and now Hardstyle Queen 4. Read more on Last.fm.
