Lady Aarp is a duo - a meeting of the musical minds of Kasia Kolbowska and Sebastian Witkowski in addition to a coming together of two unusual instruments - the celtic harp and the computer; a marriage of virtuosity, passion, imagination with sound wizardry The group was formed in 2004. Thanks to the magical blend of one of the world's oldest bow-descending instruments with a synthetic, futuristic instrument the group is a unique phenomenon: pioneering innovative and revolutionary. Lady Aarp sounds most effective when various elements combine: the aura of the venue, atmosphere, the search for experimentation and the audiences' vibes The group was received to great acclaim at a number of festivals: "Siedem Mostow Glownych" (Warszawa 2006), "Wislostrada (Warszawa 2006), "Festiwal Sztuk (Szczecin 2006r.). Lady Aarp carries a mood of an altered-state of being, meditative and trance-like. Within the sound one can detect equatorial mysteries, warm rhythms ancient rituals and a breath of crystalline peace associated with the spirituality of Eastern cultures as well as industrial noises and dub pulsations. The common thread that binds and enriches these unlikely ingredients is the search for beauty in it's universal essence. (Concerts are generally accompanied by visuals). The album "Soma" consists of the delicate sounds of the harp, combined with electronic touches: loops delays. It transports the listener to the glorious elsewhere of dreams, rituals, and distant memories Kasia Kolbowska - harpist, poet and anthropologist Sebastian Witkowski - producer, sound engineer.
