One of the country's most dynamic voices is that of Kim Hopper. As a small child, Kim first began singing with her brothers as a part of the talented musical family, The Greenes. Kim sang with her family for ten years before marrying Dean in November of 1988. As a result, the following year Kim joined "America's Favorite Family of Gospel Music", The Hoppers. Soon after joining this renowned family group, Kim was featured on their first #1, "Here I Am" in 1990. Kim has enjoyed many industry and fan awards as her anointed vocal talent is respected by fans and industry peers alike. She has been named Southern Gospel's Favorite Soprano an amazing twelve times in a row and Favorite Female Vocalist five times, most recently in 2007 and 2008. In 2007, Kim became the first solo artist to sign with the then newly relaunched Canaan Records. On August 12th of that year, her sophomore solo project was released by Canaan, entitled "I Just Wanted You to Know". This debut solo Canaan release showcases her versatility on songs such as "The Woman In My Little Girl's Room", a parental reflection of children that seem grow up far too soon and the album's first single, "Gospel To The World", a profound church anthem from the pen of Paula Stefanovich. Paula is also well known for her other two other successful Hopper hits, "Jerusalem" and "Yahweh". On this album as well as on any Hopper recording and especially in live performance, Kim's exceptional talent is paired with a unique ability to connect with her listeners on the most personal and heartfelt level, a hallmark trait that her fans have come to know and love.
