Julia Alvgard

Exhausted by a large project at the last year of Upper Secondary High School (or "gymnasiet", in Swedish), 19 year old Julia Alvgard and her father Leif sast down and discussed her future. What should she do? Looking into her heart she found two words important to her: singing and houses for homeless children... Was it possible to combine these two worlds? Not a simple thing to do, Julia thought, but important enought to continue to think about. Time passed and eventually found Julia with a group of musicians, a producer and 10 new songs - an album of her own! The album "Strong Enough" is dedicated to homeless children, giving the lion part of the income to further the work of Läkarmissionen (Missionary Doctors) helping and taking care of impoverished children. Johan Eckeborn has produced and written the songs with Erik Runesson. The music is best described as soulpop. Toghether with Julia they have managed to create a very strong debut album "Strong Enough" (Freely translated from http://www.libris.se/produkter/25223 ) Read more on Last.fm.
