Johnny Reimar

Johnny Reimar, the Danish Party music King, was born Reimar Kristensen in June 1943. He is a singer, musician, author and TV host. He started in 1961 as a member of The Clifters where he changed his name to Johnny Reimar. In 1964 The Clifters broke up and Johnny went on to a popular solo career and had a hit with the song "Lille Fregnede Louise" which sold over 50,000 copies. His most well known hits are "Du burde købe dig en tyrolerhat" and "Sikke'n fest". In 1987 The Clifters reunited as Johnny Reimer and The Clifters and started a tour with over 2000 concerts. September 2, 2000 Johnny Reimar was made a Knight of the Order of Malta in Skanderborg Slotskirke. Read more on Last.fm.
