Jasmon is a co-production of the Voss brothers who so far have also released albums as Lemongrass (Roland Voss) and Green Empathy (Daniel Voss). In 2003 Jasmon released their smooth, relaxed and easy debut-album Gentle Flowers on Peacelounge Recordings, which is based on early experiments with world music & electronic in the late eighties (it took them over a dozen years to develop into this unusual debut). The album was first released in Japan in a purely instrumental fashion. The European Version contains two additional tracks ("Goubahi - feat. Djamel Laroussi" and "Hanina - feat. Mohammed Mounir") as well as impressive vocals by Alain Nkossi Konda (on "Looming Large" und "Afrida"). In 2005 the second album Cosmic Trigger was released in Europe on Lemongrassmusic as well as in Japan on Receptortune and in Russia on Landy Star Music. Like on the first album the music takes you on an imaginary journey from India to Spain and then to Africa and finally to the Orient. Their third album Hammock Dreams was released on October 26th 2007 on Lemongrassmusic and is relying on the same recipe, including global instruments, sounds and voices, and intertwining them with laid-back beats and obscure samples.
