Industrial Monk

Industrial Monk is Frederico Rogelio Vogelstein and Takahshed Summoberg Kawai. After working on several independent movies together as engineer /mixer and synthesis / sound creator, Vogelstein and Kawai teamed up in 1997 to create the first sounds of Monk. In fact, it was during a Thai food lunch in 1997 that the name Industrial Monk was born! The first I-M release “Magnificat” received many positive reviews despite initial criticism from colleague and mastering engineer A. Yoshida who declared the record to be “shit!” “Prophecies” I-M’s second release took a few years and lumps to create and eventually release.
