Ice One aka Sebi is one of the top artistic forces in the Italian Hip Hop scene, renowned for his MCing, DJing, and production work. Raised in Rome, Ice One started in the early 1980s DJing for different venues in his city. Around that time he became involved in graf & break dancing performing with the Special Breakin' Crew. Ice One joined forces with a variety of groups, including 24-7 Crew, MC Shark's Raptional Scream, and the Mad DJ's Band. In the late 1980s, he performed with Ice T and Afrika Bambataa during their Italian tours. Ice One's creative work over the next ten years reads like a who's who of some of the most ground-breaking recordings in rap Italiano: In 1992, he coproduced and performed on the Power MC's Power 2 the People LP. Ice One released his debut solo CD B-Boy Maniaco in 1994. He produced and performed as part of Colle der Fomento and their 1996 debut Odio Pieno. That same year, Ice One produces four tracks for Frankie Hi NRG's second release La Morte del Miracoli, including the successful "Quelli che ben pensano." In 1999, he produces Assalti Frontali's return album Banditi. He is deeply involved in the group La Comitiva and its 1999 CD Medicina Buona. (Check out the Manetti Brothers' video of the tune "Nottetempo, also starring Frankie Hi NRG and Malaisa.) The new century sees Ice One producing Malaisa's debut release Metamorfosi di Liriche. In addition, Ice One has remixed songs for such Italian groups as 99 Posse, Almamegretta, Brutopop, Ustmamò, and many others. Ice One and Malaisa have recently pooled their creative talents to form Dog's & Pig's Ent, a cultural association dedicated to the creation of music and theater. Read more on Last.fm.
