In the summer of 2008, Angelina Lemucchi began putting flesh to what were once the quiet bones of her personal journal. Filled with stories of love, loss and all things in between, it would have been easy to follow in the footsteps of every singer/songwriter. But as fate would have it, she soon found herself in the company of 5 talented musicians all from experienced Bay Area bands. Amid melodic guitars and a grounded rhythm section, Lemucchi delivers her poignant lyrics with a resonating voice full of passion and grace. While finding inspiration from everything from Merle Haggard to Fleetwood Mac, Hurricane Roses has found a unique, sweet sound all their own. Although they didn't set out to be classified as a country band, Hurricane Roses are effortlessly moving that direction. As they continue moving forward, with all the same dreams of every hopeful band that went before them, they find themselves in good company. "Sometimes gently ambling with brooding ballads and other times romping with unmitigated rock swiftness, the six-piece transforms Lemucchi’s cache of personal lyrics—deeply cathartic in nature—into rumbling toe-tappers." -Good Times Newspaper Read more on Last.fm.
