The members of HOLLYWOOD KLEZMER serve as ambassadors of Jewish culture by preserving and sharing authentic Old World Jewish music in a contemporary society. In addition to perpetuating traditional Yiddish culture, the musicians have created new works by incorporating the klezmer fusion of American jazz and Yiddish swing into their repertoire. They also explore a myriad of World styles, making their collaboration a truly international Jewish music ensemble. The group is available as a trio (guitar, double bass, and either clarinet or flute or violin), as a quartet (with the addition of drums or percussion), as a quintet (with the addition of another melodic instrument), and with a vocalist. Major concert successes include performances for the 2000 Democratic National Convention Welcome Party at Paramount Studios, The Hadassah National Convention at the Century Plaza Hotel, the City of West Hollywood's "Summer Sounds" for the 13th continuous year in a row, The Playboy Jazz Festival Community Concerts, and The Knitting Factory Hollywood's Klezmer Sunday Brunches!
