There are at least two bands that calls themselves Hobnail, one is a former haterock-band (1), the other a Glam Rock band (2). The most recently active band is listed first. 1. Hobnail was a rac-band from Stoke-on-Trent, UK. Formed in 1989 they only ever recorded a demo tape, No Red Flags, which was only released, by the Welsh label Independent Voice, after the band had folded in 1991. Hobnail once played support act for Skrewdriver. 2. Hobnail is a glam rock band who in 1972 released an two-track EP on Bell Records. On the A-side was She's Just a Friend of Mine and on the B-side was Boy Scout Jambouree. 33 years later, She's Just a Friend of Mine resurfaces briefly as track 19 (of 20) on a 2005 CD compilation released by RPM Records called The Junkshop Glam Discotheque, alongside such Glam-greats as Jimmy Jukebox, Iron Cross and Boston Boppers.
