Sidney Haywoode is an English singer (born in London). She used two stage names: "Haywoode" and "Sid Haywoode". As a child she studied at Corona Academy of the Arts, worked in television, film and modeling. She was signed by CBS in 1983 and soon released her first single "A Time Like This" (reached the Top 5 Dance and Top 40 Pop UK charts). She worked with famous Stock Aitken Waterman team and released two singles with them : "You'd Better Not Fool Around" and "Getting Closer". Her biggest success was single "Roses" that gave her 11 place in UK top in 1986 and was followed by invitation to Top of the Pops (BBC}. Sydney left UK and went to US.
