Originally a four member dance unit serving as backup dancers for Exile, Flower added two more dancers and three vocalists. The new members were selected through a nationwide talent search by LDH titled Exile Presents Vocal Battle Audition 3 ~For Girls~. They made their debut on October 12, 2011 with the single "Still". 7) Flower was a post-punk noise/pop band from NYC that existed from 1986-1990 featuring later members of Versus (Richard Baluyut, Ed Baluyut), French (Ian James, Andrew Bordwin), Cell (Ian James), The Pacific Ocean (Ed Baluyut), and Ruby Falls (Andrew Bordwin). Featuring the Baluyut brothers on guitar, James on Bass, and Bordwin on drums, Flower was a staple of the NYC underground scene carved out by Sonic Youth, Live Skull, Swans, etc, utilizing the noise element of the aforementioned artists to deepen the textures of more classically oriented pop songs. Flower reunited for The Big Takeover anniversary shows in the summer of 2010 and again in July 2014 and are currently working on a new album, planning to return to regularly performing live.
