Undoubtedly, you've heard Felicia Sorensen and didn't even know it. Her voice is a popular one among advertising agencies, for backup vocals and solo voice for hire. A remarkably talented individual, Sorensen has experience in these areas and more. She was a featured soloist with the Brigham Young University's Young Ambassadors ensemble, toured and recorded with her family as The Gibbons Family and has performed an impressive resume of studio work. She has worked with Donny Osmond, Marie Osmond, Lee Greenwood, Roy Clark, Michael McLean, Northern Voices and has appeared on the Especially for Youth recording series. She debuted her solo singer/songwriter career in 1995 with She Believes on the Deseret Book label. She followed up in 1998 with sophomore outing Without Disguise, which won the FCMA's PEARL Award for Best Contemporary Album. Both albums were later re-released on the Shadow Mountain label. Her voice is mellifluous, even polished in sound, and her vocal range is comparable to Amy Grant. Sorensen and husband Todd, a producer and percussionist, live in Pleasant Grove, Utah with two daughters. Reminiscent of Amy Grant's upbeat songs and heartfelt ballads, the songs in Without Disguise reveal the heart and soul of accomplished LDS recording artist Felicia Sorensen. Felicia's songs are centered in reflections on life, love, relationships, and faith. An adult contemporary album, Without Disguise features songs from such songwriters as Sam Cardon, Don Stirling, Brett Raymond, Michael McLean, James Marsden, and Felicia. Among the eleven songs are "Another Day," "Take You to My Heart," "Let It Run," "Somehow She Stays," and an acoustic remake of the James Taylor hit "Shower the People."
