Fakie For Nothing

“Fakie is not just for nothing; it’s for everything and represents all that is in our lives.” Fakie was a 5-piece act from Sweden. They were formed in 2003 in Kolsva, Sweden but got their final line-up in August 2007. Fakie For Nothing managed to form their own type of sound in a short period of time. Experimenting with different electronic elements that normally aren’t used in their type of genre. The music could be described as a foundation built by pop and alternative rock with broad influences, like electro and r’n’b. One of the main things that describe “FFN” and make their sound special is the powerful vocals and their catchy refrains. They are strongly influenced by the past and the present, bad things and good things that happened to their individual lives. They have played over a hundred shows all around Sweden with great feedback and they love to gain new influences and meet people from different places. A last thing worth being mentioned is the positive review they got from the American pop-punk band Good Charlotte. The band split up in 2009 due to personal reasons and musical differences during the recording of their debut album. Three of the band members continued playing together and formed the band Myoh and added a new singer and bass player to the line-up. In 2011 the former band members Ricard and Michael formed a electronic producer duo called Snow Job. In July 2012 the band released their old tracks from the years 2006-2008 digitally on iTunes, Spotify and WIMP. More information at their offical website, www.fakiefornothing.com.
