Ettella Diamant

The band was formed some time in 1996 by 3 desperate schoolmates Richard, Igor and Peter there in Nowhere. They were always interested in electronic music, influenced by bands like Dead Can Dance, Laika, Underworld, but also Joy Division or Can. As soon as they built a small studio at Peter's flat they started - by the help of samplers, keyboards and computer - to create (and record) misty, melancholic tunes, often acclaimed as "indielectronica for lonely souls". In 2000 Richard met a young talented singer Slivv and offered her to sing in Ettella Diamant. She was known before as singer of several interesting bands (Pesko, Nylon Union or Puding Pani Elvisovej). The cooperation of Richard and Slivv led to the change of Ettella's sound. They started to use more instruments and invited their friend DJ Professor Z to play guitar. First official eponymous EP was released December 2004 on Deadred Records, after being several times re-recorded. Official site: www.myspace.com/ettella Read more on Last.fm.
