There are at least two bands called Ejector: US: Voted BEST LOCAL BAND by the San Francisco Bay Guardian's BEST OF THE BAY 2010 Reader's Poll. Formed in 2008, They quickly, they made a name for themselves and became a San Francisco favorite playing clubs, street festivals, and fund-raising events. The band was in one of the opening positions Nitzer Ebb @ The Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco. Drawing from a broad range of influences, prior industry knowledge, their love of film scores, sci-fi, and theatre, these elements get wrapped up with a dance groove while not forgetting to add a dash of humor, and sass. They are no strangers to dancing between the light and the dark, deftly transitioning between gentle passion and raw aggression and tackling themes from the playful now to the pain of long lost love... Besides a full album and several singles their last two releases were Noel Noir (a three song rework ejector style of holiday favorites- Dec. 2010) and the late winter single "Like You" - 2011. NZ: Ejector were a Wellington indie rock band formed around 2001 with intial band line up of Nik Brinkman, (Later of Over the Atlantic and currently Junica) Matthew McDonald Bates, Matt Kerr and Nick McLeod.
