DPF, in his own words (from ‘Sick Flows’): “stick out like a sore thumb cos no-one else can flow the same all I ever wanted was for all of you to know my name and even if you hate my guts it won’t matter you can’t deny the fact that I’m a fucking dope rapper but the strange thing is you want me to sound like all the rest when the last track sounds like the next and yet you call it fresh..” He lives in Norwich, his parents were hippies, and his name is Joe. DPF stands for any number of things, among them Deadly Pungent Feet (as voted by Def Tex when sharing a tour bus with him). He’s done lots of shows around the country, always impressing with his engaging persona and super-tight flows, and has had numerous guest spots on record, including featured performances on releases by top line hip-hop producers such as Rob Life, Tufkut ( a recent highlight being his collabo with Kashmere on ‘Space Cadets’), Styly Cee and Tom Caruana. A sometime member of the renowned Def Tex, Joe has recently helped out on mic duties alongside top-notch turntablist crew, Fully Grown Men (a force to be reckoned with in their own right) appearing alongside them for some hot dex plus mic action at Glastonbury. Joe is also a fully grown man himself, having entered his fourth decade (just to be clear that means he’s in his thirties, which obviously is pushing it for hip-hop, but not quite so bad as if he was in his forties..) He has had 2 previous solo EP releases on Son Records, and this is his first album. He is currently hard at work writing his first novel. Read more on Last.fm.
