There is more than one artist with this name: 1) A glam metal band from Santa Cruz, California. Dirty Penny were originally a Poison cover band called Antidote. Their music is identified as glam or sleaze metal, with their influences being Motley Crue, AC/DC, Skid Row, Judas Priest, Poison, and Guns N' Roses. Dirty Penny has currently released two albums, Take it Sleezy (2007), and Young & Reckless- released on September 17, 2009. All members of the band have adopted pseudonyms: Vocals - Binge Daniels (Matt Biggam) Guitar - Jonny Prynce (Ian MacPherson) Bass - Tyno Vincent (Tyler Molinaro) Drums - Spanky Savage (Spencer Joseph) 2) An indie band from Toronto, Canada, formed in 2001. They call their live shows OAMs (Original Acts for Mankind) wherein they perform their discography of originals coupled with a stage show of dadaist theatrics the point of which is to do show something that has (arguably) never been seen before. Their sound has been likened to Ween, Cake, The Pixies and The Velvet Underground. Their debut CD Tada! was released in 2007 followed by Sage against the Machine in 2008. Sorry Mom was released 5 years later in September 2013. Their fourth album is scheduled for release in December 2016. "If Cake ever teamed up with Ween, Toronto's Dirty Penny would need to search for a new sound. The band combines Cake's rock raps with Ween's eccentric lyrics, creating a curious record that's completely obnoxious but fascinating at the same time." - Now Magazine Band's Website: dirtypenny.com Read more on Last.fm.
