Dennis Parker was born in New York in 1946. His career started in 1975 in the film "Summer Of Laura." That same year the 20 year old also did "Exploring Young Girls." His next film was 1977's "Barbara Broadcast" and was his most popular. 1977 was his big year, churning out 6 adult films, among them: "Visions," "Secret Dreams Of Mona Q,"Odyssey-The Ultimate Trip," "My Sex-Rated Wife" and "Breaker Beauties." By 1978 he only did two films, "Take Off" and "Raw Footage." At this point producer Jacques Morali put his "music machine" behind the hunky star. Although he only recorded one album it did produce the club hits "Fly Like An Eagle" and "New York By Night." Which were both released on a Casablanca 12" single. Having gained a certain amount of credibility via his recording career he landed a recurring role on the daily soap "The Edge Of Night" as Police Chief Derek A. Mallory (1979-1984). He once again returned to adult films with 1979's "Punk Rock" and "Captain Lust And The Pirate Women." He did one film in 1980, "Love You" and his final film, "Blonde Ambition" in 1981. By 1984 Dennis was forced to leave his role on the popular daytime soap due to his health. After being diagnosed with A.I.D.S. he committed suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot to prevent himself from suffering the ravages of the disease.
