There is more than one artist with the name Shapeshifters: 1) A British house music group consisting of producers Simon Marlin and Max Reich, featuring female vocalist Cookie. They first became popular in 2004 with their debut single "Lola's Theme". After several months on various high profile DJ playlists, the song was picked up by Positiva Records and topped the UK Charts and became a Top 10 hit across Europe. The following year they released "Back to Basics", a Top 10 hit in the United Kingdom. In March 2006 they released their debut LP "Sound Advice", along with a third successful single titled "Incredible". Marlin and Reich use the name Shape:UK for releases in the United States due to a name conflict with LA hip hop group The Shape Shifters. 2) The Los Angeles based underground collective of hip hop artists, found under the name The Shape Shifters. 3) An incorrect tag for Shapeshifter, a drum and bass act from New Zealand.
