The musical direction and philosophy behind "Del Rey System" is to produce an eclectic mix of styles offering up a little bit of everything for everyone within the parameters of the electronic music world. The album takes you on a journey from "Hip Hop" to "Garage" to "House" and "Latin" infused flavors. In the driving seat and the force behind "Del Rey System" is Dean Godward aka "Cuba" who's past achievements include being one half of the Drum & Bass duo "Cuba & Gizmo", a stint in the second line up of Shayne Carter's "Dimmer" as "Dimmer drummer Dean"' Co-Producing and Engineering King Kapisi's Platinum selling "Savage Thoughts" album and Producing and Engineering Nesian Mystik's Number 1 Multi Platinum selling "Polysaturated" album. Cuba is also the driving force behind Bounce Records. In the making of the "Del Rey System" album Cuba collaborates with a bunch of his friends who are also among some of New Zealand's finest talent, the likes of Dallas Tamaira, Teremoana Rapley, Godfrey De Grut, Nathan Haines, Manuel Bundy, Imon Star, Sandy Mills, Isaac Tucker, David Atai as well as internationals such as New York rapper Finsta and from Japan D.J Yoichi and more. Following on from their ..1 b-net hit "Del Rey" and b-net top ten "You Say" featuring "Teremoana Rapley", "Sweet Division" featuring the unmistakable vocals of Fat Freddy's Drop "Dallas Tamaira" and "N.Z to the B.K" that features N.Y rapper "Finsta" comes the self titled album "Del Rey System".
