A conscious choice was made for an emptyness in the songs. Together with Jean-Marie Tournier and Norbert de Jong he started to write and record small acoustic songs. Late 2006 one the demo songs ‘Becoming Time’ winds up at Frans Hagenaars (Excelsior Recordings). Hagenaars proposed to record an album with him at his Sound Enterprise studio. This proposal ultimately resulted in ten recorded Corbelijn-songs. After which Darius van Helfteren mastered the songs. By then it turned 2009. Corbelijn once was a small and well hidden secret.
