Chris Moss Acid is a southcoast (Bournemouth) electronic musician working in the genre of analogue and digital (aka a&d, AD, Analord, etc) - http://www.facebook.com/chrismossacid Chris Moss Acid started out DJing at his friend's local electronica night in Bournemouth in December 2004, the nights were called Egon Spengler which were put on by The Egon Spengler crew aka Bournemouth Hardcore Massive which consisted of Sam Ross and Ryan Keegan. The nights were popular, as they brought some of the leading IDM acts to Bournemouth including Ceephax, Ladyscraper, Mully, Shitmat, Cylob, Chris Clark and local experimental bands such as The Mylar Blackout & Glockenspeil. The nights ran from December 2004 until July 2006. Since 2005 Chris Moss Acid has released an influx of free download mp3 albums through his website and net labels (reportedly making 50 albums a week) covering various styles of acid house, techno and hardcore techo music. Some of his albums and EPs have been released on the now defunct net label Net-Lab (The Sub & Commando Acid EP). A track Classical Rinse was written especially for Net-Lab's compilation Acid Blue. It was a piece of classical music but written with the use of Roland TB-303. In 2006 Chris Moss Acid contributed a DJ Mix under the pseudonym Brad Striker to another Net-Lab's compilation called Road Rash II. In March 2006 Chris Moss Acid self-released a C90 cassette tape titled Butyric Acidosis which was requested via e-mail. The edition was limited to 26 copies personally made with the help of Chris Moss Acid's associate Kaen. He released Chris Moss Acid Presents the Warriors Acid Ep on Wrong Music in August 2006 and the Split LP with Mully with the football themed Italia 90 trax in 2008. Wrong Music's Etc. compilation CD includes Chris Moss Acid's track Sub Merge from The Sub album.[2] Besides Wrong Music and Net-Lab, Chris has released noted electronic music albums on Malta's Complex Sound Sagacity label,[3] V/VM's sister label Vukzid, Swishcotheque recordings,[4] Sweden's Rucksack Records[5] and Futonic Records.[6] Besides the MP3 releases, Chris had his first 12" EP released in 2007 on Chicago's Mathematics Recordings called London's Calling EP. Upon release London's Calling EP shot to the top ten best selling records on Clone Records (a popular electronic music retailer). The site praises the EP for having "very direct and pure house tracks".[7] The official Warp Records retail website describes the release as "absolutely excellent" and describes the single Acid Buddy as following: "rolling chords and mental acid set the scene for this track which has incredible emotional exuberance and energy."[8] In April 2006 Chris did a 30 minute live radio session on London's Resonance FM playing on the show Underplayed. Chris's session consisted of a heavier approach to acid house music, borderlining experimental and gabba music as well as more traditional acid house. In the early part of 2007 some of Chris's unreleased and rare tracks got played on Huw Stephens' BBC Radio 1 Tuesday night show. In September 2007 and June 2008 Chris did a DJ Mix on Transmit with Arveene on Dublin's Spin 1038, Chris did an hour mix of mainly his own productions. Since then Chris has played concerts all over Europe, covering countries such as Malta, Ireland,Lithuania, Holland, Belgium and Russia and his tracks have been included into various compilations on top European electronic music labels such as Holland's 030303 and Belgium's WeMe, where Chris collaborated with DMX Krew on the track 'Bang The Gong'. in 2011 Chris Started His Own digital Label that releases his music exclusivly on bandcamp, called Boxfade Records.
